WELCOME TO High Tide Chiropractic

Dr. Bradburn practiced in Wilmington for 8 years before deciding to open his own clinic here in Leland, NC. Many patients were already driving from Leland into Wilmington to be treated, and he saw a growing need in Leland’s community for a chiropractor who treated more than just back and neck pain. In 2021, Dr. Bradburn opened High Tide Chiropractic.

What sets High Tide Chiropractic apart from other chiropractic offices is a more specialized and personal approach to treatment. Dr. Bradburn has trained in many techniques to allow him to choose the best individualized treatments for each patient, rather than each patient getting the same thing. By training in a variety of techniques, Dr. Bradburn also treats many more conditions than just back and neck pain. He is known in the area for treating conditions of the shoulders, elbows, hips, and more. Patients are also always treated by Dr. Bradburn in a separate room for their privacy and comfort.

Our office is located in Leland on Village Road, across the street from CVS in the tall white buildings of Harrington Village. We are just down the street from the Piggly Wiggly.

Conditions We Help

Dr. Bradburn treats a variety of conditions. Common spinal conditions seen in our office are sciatica, low back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Dr. Bradburn commonly uses spinal adjustments, prescribed exercises, electric muscle stimulation, and myofascial release for these conditions.

Common extremity conditions treated are tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, rotator cuff strains, shoulder impingement, hip flexor tendonitis, knee pain, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and more. Most frequently Dr. Bradburn uses a variety of myofascial release therapies and prescribed exercises for these conditions. He may also adjust/mobilize restricted extremity joints and use electric muscle stimulation as well.

common misconceptions

There are some common misconceptions people in the Leland area may have about chiropractic. The first is that chiropractic can be rough or too forceful for their body. Dr. Bradburn has treated kids as young as one month old, and his oldest patient he has treated has been well into his 90s. Some patients require or prefer more low force techniques that are gentler, yet still very effective.

Another misconception is that once you start going, “you have to go forever.” Our office always has a priority of teaching you at home exercises to help your condition, as well as ergonomic recommendations with education to try and prevent the injury from coming back. With that being said, anything in life that isn’t maintained has the potential to have problems again. Many of our patients see that benefit of doing routine “maintenance care” once their condition has improved. If a patient chooses to do maintenance care, the frequency of visits is different for everyone. How often a patient may need/want care is based on pre-existing conditions (such as if the patient has arthritis), work environment, or their training regimen. Some our athletes may see us more frequently while there are “in season”, and less frequently in the off season.
